My name is Andy Smith and in 2015 I started planning how to launch my own Personal Training business. I’ve always been involved in sports; from football (soccer for my American friends) to cricket, athletics, tennis and hockey to the other extremes of rock climbing and horse riding. Having been involved in such a wide variety of sports it was a natural path into my undergraduate degree in Sports Therapy (BSc Hons 1st class from the University of Central Lancashire).
At UCLAN I really fell in love with Rugby (both Union and League) and spent 5 years playing. Back to the study side of things, I excelled in both practical and written scenarios culminating in an award from the examination board for outstanding achievement. Post university I continued working in the fitness industry for Virgin Active before moving to Edinburgh to study my MSc in Strength and Conditioning. Edinburgh is where I began to take my Powerlifting much more seriously and worked for 2.5 years as a PT for Virgin Active.
Although I am an athlete myself and am educated in the elite sport environment don’t let this deter you, as you can see in the Client Testimonials I work with plenty of everyday gym goers who receive the same level of care and attention as my World Champion Powerlifters. I am a firm believer in training backed by science with a healthy dose of common sense and knowing what works on your individual level. All programmes are tailored to you and each one is a labour of love.
I demand hard work and dedication from myself so that is what I expect from you. If you aren’t fully committed to the process, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced athlete, I won’t take your money. I will invest myself fully in your goals and training to the highest level and expect the same level of dedication back from all my clients. This builds the 3P Training community and ensures the best possible results when both parties are fully invested in the system and creates lasting friendships alongside you smashing your targets.
